About

We have documented our travels any number of ways over the years. Starting with pen, paper, and Kodachrome. Now it’s this sort-of blog. The audience is really ourselves, but the site is public so family, friends, and travel nerds like ourselves can look over our shoulders.

We knew we were going to retire, just not when. We had ideas for what we’d do, but nothing solid. On on our way back from a trip to Bali in 2017, kind of celebrating a 61st birthday, we had the usual what-next kinds of conversations, and one of them was about how it would be nice to not have to go back to work after our next trip. That’s all it took.
